July 20 - Bronnoysund, Norway

We didn't sign up for a tour at this stop.  There was only one that was included and that was a strenuous hike up to a famous mountain.  The others didn't really appeal to us.  And, frankly, it seems it was just as well.  Today is Sunday, and everything shuts down on Sundays in Norway.  Our pier was a little ways from the town, so a shuttle bus was provided.

They offered a nice little welcome in a very industrial port.

We caught the shuttle and had a little walkabout to see what was what.

A fast electric vehicle charger

This was an interesting car, although we looked at it and said it would be too difficult to get in and out of. Guess we're getting old if that's our first thought.

This fellow was playing a crank organ with some modern music (Beatles songs even) outside of a store which we assumed he owned.  A woman was working inside who seemed to know him and so we had a look, but it was a second-hand store and nothing called to us.  It was the only store open in town since it's Sunday.

This looked like a tranquil place to have your home

They were breaking down the stage and vendors from what was probably a concert yesterday.  There were many, many porta-potties and we saw trash on the street for the first time on this trip.  I guess young people are the same everywhere.

This cafe was closed, but you can see the scattered reindeer hides for warmth.  The fog in the background and the white boats almost look like it's a snowy day when again it was in the mid-70s.

I'm not sure that placing your Thai Food truck right next to the public WC is the best advertising.

We caught the shuttle back to town and spent a quiet remainder of the day.

Caught this crew member hand polishing the brass rim around the tile on the restaurant deck from the staircase above her.

These were on the pier by our ship.  Not sure what they are.

We had 13/15 at Trivia which was good enough for 1 point.  And we were able to have another good Zoom call with the siblings before dinner.
